ExMiller
The eXMiller component is a file and folder viewer that utilizes the Miller columns visualization technique to display system directories and files. Miller columns, also known as Cascading Lists, offer a way to browse hierarchical tree structures by displaying multiple levels simultaneously in adjacent columns. This method provides a clear visual representation of the current navigation path within the hierarchy. Originally developed independently by Mark S. Miller in 1980 at Yale University, this browsing style is closely related to earlier techniques used in the Smalltalk browser. Today, Miller columns are widely recognized as the "Columns view" in Mac OS X Finder and the "Browser" view in iTunes.
